My Father's Path
Insomniac Poetry
This poem is dedicated to Claudene Christian. Who died at sea today 13 years ago.
I never knew you, but I won’t forget you.
My father sailed this ship- More than Two hundred Years ago. When he launched A mutiny And settled on the Isle of Pitcairn. I follow on his footsteps Now, to Doom and ruin, Under a madman. We’ve been awake for Two days- As the sea rushes in To swallow us. My first voyage, may Be my last. I go to my father now. Whose path I trod faithfully. I love you dad. In case something happens.
